The Benton Washington Regional Public Water Authority is currently accepting resumes for the position of Water Treatment Plant Operator I. This involves technical work in operating a potable water treatment plant and water transmission system for delivery to outlying facilities in NW Arkansas. Position is for a NIGHT SHIFT OPERATOR POSITION 7 PM – 7 AM. Schedule is 36 hours one week, 48 (40 regular plus 8 OT) the following week. Minimum requirements are to be at least age 18, have a HS Diploma or GED, be able to swim, and have a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.  Must also have a basic working knowledge of biology and chemistry, the ability to work outdoors under all conditions and must be able to obtain a minimum of a ADOH Grade 3 Water Treatment License within 1 year of start date. Applicants with current Arkansas Dept of Health Water Treatment License and experience in working with potable water treatment will be given preference; however, training for licensing can be provided for the right applicant.  Starting pay is dependent on qualifications and ranges from $15.50 - $20.50 per hour and most benefits begin 30 days after hire.
